Hi there, I’m Sophie
I’m a project manager, a parent, and an expat living in Zurich, Switzerland.
A few years back I moved here with my family. What began as a temporary assignment gradually became a new chapter of life abroad.
How It Started
Moving to Switzerland wasn’t in the original plan. Like many international relocations, it started as a job opportunity and soon grew into something far larger.
The initial months were demanding — new systems, new routines, new expectations. Everyday tasks felt more complicated than they needed to be.
The Adjustment Period
There was culture shock, uncertainty, and lots of learning by doing. But gradually, routines settled in. We found places that worked for us, met other families, and began building something that felt steady.
Why I Built Solmir Vanta Kel
Most information online was either corporate relocation advice or shallow tourism material. What was missing was a sincere, day-to-day family perspective.
This site aims to fill that gap — practical guidance drawn from real life in Switzerland.
